All-around effort leads Brandon Valley Lynx Varsity past SF Post 15 West 3-2

An impressive two-way performance from Tommy Gardner led Brandon Valley Lynx Varsity to a 3-2 win Saturday over SF Post 15 West, as Tommy came up huge at the dish and on the rubber.

Tommy boosted his batting average thanks to a perfect 4-4 day at the plate to pace Brandon Valley Lynx Varsity. He doubled in the sixth inning and singled in the second, fourth, and ninth innings.

Tommy worked out of 13 tricky spots for Brandon Valley Lynx Varsity to pick-up the save. He pitched four innings and allowed no earned runs on two hits. Tommy faced his most difficult moment in the ninth inning.

Jared Mulder helped Brandon Valley Lynx Varsity take the lead for good in the sixth inning. Jacob Adams walked to get on base in the sixth. He then went from first to third on a two-run double by Tommy.

Two runs gave SF Post 15 West a leg up after neither team scored for most of the game. SF Post 15 West scored on a sacrifice fly by Jaden Holzer and an RBI single by Seth Bjordal.

Brandon Valley Lynx Varsity never surrendered the lead after the sixth inning. The runs piled on thanks to a two-run double by Tommy.
