Lynx Varsity manages 13 hits in 6-3 loss to Sioux Falls West

Lynx Varsity knocked around Sioux Falls West's Hurley to the tune of 12 hits, but failed to convert enough runners to runs, and lost 6-3 on Tuesday at Valley Springs. 

Cal Kedik was solid at the plate for Lynx Varsity. Kedik went 4-5, drove in one and scored two runs. He singled in the third, fifth, seventh, and ninth innings. 

Mitchell Hoover was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed six runs in seven innings, walked one and struck out five. 

Sioux Falls West didn't relinquish the lead after scoring three runs in the first inning when it scored on a three-run home run by Sam Lang

After pushing across two runs in the top of the third, Lynx Varsity faced just a 4-2 deficit. An RBI single by Kedik and an RBI single by Payton Livingstontriggered Lynx Varsity's comeback. The Lynx Varsity threat came to an end when Hurley finally got Wilson Kolbeck to strike out. 

One run in the top of the fifth helped Lynx Varsity close its deficit to 4-3. A steal of home by Kedik set off Lynx Varsity rally. Livingston to end the Lynx Varsity threat. 

Sioux Falls West increased its lead with two runs in the sixth. A sacrifice fly scored Tyler Wildes to start the scoring in the inning. That was followed up by Ryan Benson's single, plating Charley Illig.
