The Brandon Valley Lynx won their home opener verse Roosevelt 7-1 on Tuesday night in Valley Springs.  Mitchell Hoover lead the Lynx on the mound with a 1 hit shutout through 5 innings.  Levi McKercher came in relief to close the game out for the Lynx.  Both pitchers did a great job of throwing strikes and making the Rough Riders earn their way onto the bases.

The Lynx hitters were patient all night and were rewarded with 13 walks on the night, leading to many of the scoring situations.  Junior catcher Kyle Bailey had two big hits for the Lynx.  Junior second baseman Cal Kedik was on base in 3 out of his 4 plate appearances.  He set the tone for the Lynx hitters in the 1st inning with a walk and stolen base to get the lead for the Lynx, in which they never gave back.

The next games for the Lynx will be a double header on April 7th in Valley Springs verse the Yankton Bucks.  Game times are 6pm and 8pm.
