Due to a grant provided by the generosity of the Brandon Community Foundation, the BVBA was able to purchase new catchers equipment for every league team from Rookies through Legion this spring. So what does an association of our size do with almost 40 used sets of catchers equipment? We donate it to Helping Kids Round First.

Helping Kids Round First is a non-profit organization that cleans, repairs and ships used baseball and softball equipment to rural communities in Nicaragua. Last year, HKRF sent 800 gloves, 1400 bats, 7000 baseballs and softballs, 3000 uniforms, 160 sets of catchers gear and 1000 baseball caps to the poorest country in Latin America. While our Community Foundation helped the kids in Brandon and Valley Springs with new equipment, their donation has also allowed us the opportunity to provide our used equipment which will benefit thousands of kids, providing opportunities for them to chase their dreams.
